Fact 1 – Eggs do not negatively impact heart health

  • The U.S. Dietary Guidelines hasnโ€™t restricted the cholesterol in the food you eat for many years and recommends eggs as part of a healthy diet. So, you can feel confident choosing eggs for your family.
  • Plus extensive research, including a recent Harvard study evaluating 32 years of data, shows that eating eggs does not increase the risk of heart disease. Cholesterol in food doesnโ€™t affect your bodyโ€™s cholesterol like we once thought. Instead, saturated fats have a bigger impact on cholesterol levels. Most of the fat in eggs is unsaturated, a good for you fat.

Fact 2 – According to the American Heart Association, eggs can be included as part of a heart healthy diet for healthy adults

  • Healthy individuals can include an average of seven eggs per week as part of a heart-healthy diet. Older adults with normal cholesterol can even enjoy two eggs daily. Eggs support any healthy dietary eating plan offering high quality protein, vitamins and minerals.

Fact 3- Eggs can be enjoyed throughout the day!

They are a compact, natural source of vitamins and minerals to help keep you energized. Theโ€™re a good source of protein and a brain supporter for every age and stage, all for just 70 calories per large egg.  Endlessly versatile, eggs can be boiled, scrambled, poached, baked, deviled – the list goes on. Plus, they pair beautifully with vegetables to boost nutrient absorption.

  1. My mom was told that she’d have high cholesterol even if she ate nothing but grass. She started to eat a little portein and eggs were her main source of protein. She ate veggies and fruit and her cholesterol was excellent.

I decided to do the same and my cholesterol was better. It was high but after eating eggs it went down. I love eggs
